Clemson at -142 implies roughly 59 percent, and that is a lot to pay for a team flying across the country for a late Friday kick. I'll take the home dog with the two and a half and let the travel do some of the work. Cal +2.5 is the number. The moneyline at +120 is tempting, but I like the cushion.

The Sharp Desk: Week 4 picks
At -110 the break-even is about 52.4 percent, and I have the under nearer 55. A 54.5-point spread means the total leans almost entirely on Pittsburgh's output, and blowouts this lopsided tend to slow down late with reserves in and the clock running. The gap is small, so I'm treating this as a modest structural edge rather than a story about either team.
Eleven and a half points is a lot to lay in a conference game, and Wake Forest is the kind of opponent that will shorten it, slowing the tempo and making you march the length of the field. I trust a disciplined road defense that keeps everything in front of it to hold this inside two scores, especially in a noon kickoff where the home crowd may not be at full volume. The points are worth more than the name on the jersey here.
Nobody on this desk wants to touch Delaware, which is exactly why I do. Nearly three touchdowns is a lot of trust to put in Virginia against an opponent that will happily shorten the game and make it ugly. I will take the points and the silence.

Where ACC fans can play
Four ACC states have no statewide sportsbook app. Prediction markets are the legal option in most of them. State by state, here is what is open.
Texas has no legal online or retail sportsbook, and the Legislature does not meet again in regular session until January 2027.
Georgia has no legal sports betting of any kind; the state House voted down a constitutional amendment 63-98 in March 2026.
South Carolina has no legal sports betting; the 2025-26 session ended with the main bill still sitting in a Senate committee.
California has no legal sports betting; voters rejected both 2022 ballot measures, and the state's gaming tribes are aiming at 2028.
